I’m a 20 something (ish) year old running and writing enthusiast living in London. Whilst I am an average indoor and outdoor runner, my particular speciality is running late!
I took up running during what was a difficult time for me, and it’s true to say that running changed my life, giving me a reason to get out of bed in the morning, helping me rediscover my self-belief, push myself harder, and achieve the seemingly impossible.
Whilst I may still be a very average runner, running has come to play an important role in my life. Over the next 12 months I have set myself some ambitious goals:
- A sub 50 minute 10k
- A sub 2 hour 1/2 marathon
- Complete 1 race a month (of at least 10k) for the next 12 months
- Now that I have completed by first marathon, I want to run another, faster, marathon! (Of course)
This blog will document the trials and tribulations of an average runner as I strive towards the above goals. From time to time it will also incorporate a number of my other interests including alternative forms of exercise, travel and outdoor pursuits.
Thank you for reading, and see you at the finish line. But for now, sorry, I’ve got to run!
